Opportunities for Off-Street Parking During Leaf Sweep Day: Friday, December 12th

12/8/2014

Neighbors:

The City has scheduled our neighborhood's 2014 Leaf Sweep, for this coming Friday, December 12, 2014.

See the city’s website for complete details and for city contact information: http://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/index.cfm?c=55380
(most, if not all, of you should have received notices in the mail)

A tow order is in effect for all vehicles (all - cars, trucks, motorcycles) to be off the street. The Sullivan’s Gulch Neighborhood Association (SGNA) advises all neighbors to have their cars off of the street the night before.

SGNA, again this year has arranged for off-street parking for up to 50 cars. Review the options below carefully, and please reach out if you need any assistance:

In the west Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, 1535 NE 17th Avenue, has graciously offered 30 spaces in their parking lot on the west side of the Church, on a first come - first served basis. You are asked to park in either the westernmost row, along NE 16th Avenue. Or in the two center rows. Please reserve the row on the eastern side of the lot for Church personnel and Church business.

In the east, the Hollywood Fred Meyer has again agreed to provide 20 spaces. Neighbors who park here, must sign a waiver, provide their contact and vehicle information and place a notice on their dashboards to avoid being towed. Spaces will be available from 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 11th, until 7:00 PM, Friday, December 12th. Waivers, directions, sign-up sheets and dashboard notices can be obtained for only for two two hour periods, Wednesday, December 10th, and Thursday, December 11th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at 1310 NE 24th Avenue, telephone: 503 309-1675.

Sincerely,

Sullivan's Gulch Neighborhood Association
