Sullivan’s Gulch Neighborhood
Sullivan’s Gulch Boundary Map
Sullivan’s Gulch neighborhood boundaries are from Holladay Park (MAX station) and NE 15th to 37th and from I-84 to NE Broadway. We border the Lloyd, Irvington, Grant Park, Hollywood, Kerns, and Laurelhurst neighborhoods. Our boundary overlaps with the Lloyd District Community Association to include Lloyd Cinemas, Holladay Park, and the MAX station. It also overlaps with Grant Park Neighborhood Association in the area south of Broadway from 33rd to 37th Avenues.
Sullivan’s Gulch Neighborhood Association (SGNA)
All residents, renters and owners, non-profits, business licensees, and property owners within the boundaries of Sullivan’s Gulch are members of SGNA and elect a Board of Directors annually to work together with neighbors to enhance the livability of the neighborhood.
Our mission is to enhance the livability of the area by establishing and maintaining an open line of communication and liaison within the neighborhood and between government agencies and other neighborhoods. We strive to inform, involve, and represent our neighborhood:
Informing the neighborhood means outreach to the full membership to solicit their views, perspectives, and opinions.
Involving the neighborhood means providing appropriate forums and tools to engage in ample discussion among the membership and within the Board, resulting in decisions and actions that support the livability of our neighborhood.
Representing the neighborhood means Board advocacy for the membership as a representative of our interests in all communications with the City and other organizations.
SGNA Board of Directors
Everyone who lives or works within the boundaries of Sullivan's Gulch neighborhood is a member of SGNA. In the fall of each year SGNA hold a membership meeting to elect the Board of Directors, with each Director serving a two-year term. The Board of Directors is comprised of as many as 19 Directors. The current Board and terms are listed in the bottom tab of this section.
Meetings are open to the public and the start of every meeting has time on the agenda for public comment. You are invited to attend Board and Committee meetings and make your voice heard.
Actions by the SGNA Board of Directors are governed by three documents:
