April 19th - Get Involved With Your Neighbors!

On April 19th, there will be two nature-focused events in the Sullivan's Gulch neighborhood. Sign up for one or both of them here.

Volunteer Corps: Garden Tending

Join the Sullivan's Gulch Volunteer Corps behind the Broadway Grill (17th & Weidler) at 10am to help the organization, foundseed, to prepare their garden beds for Spring! Bring gloves and weather-appropriate clothing. Come prepared to dig, shovel, weed, meet neighbors, snack, and/or learn about foundseed's history with guerilla gardening! Sign up here.

Tree Team: Flowering Trees Walk

Spring is coming, and our neighborhood trees are starting to bud and flower. Our guided tree walks are a special opportunity to learn about these towering giants that give us shade, peace, and more. Join us at 1pm for our first Tree walk, led by Tree Team member and arborist Biz Miller. At last week's SGNA meeting, Linda Fahrenkopf, volunteer manager at Store to Door, gave a presentation about their organization and opportunities to volunteer. Store to Door shops at our Hollywood Fred Meyer and delivers groceries to homebound seniors and people living with disabilities in the Portland area. They are currently recruiting volunteers for weekly shopping, order taking (remote), and grocery delivery, and more! Click here to create an account and get involved.
