SULLIVAN’S GULCH EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS RESIDENTIAL SURVEY
Are you prepared for a major emergency or disaster in our area?
The Sullivan’s Gulch NET is currently surveying residents and businesses in our neighborhood regarding emergency preparedness. The survey takes 5 minutes or less to complete and the data we receive from each neighbor or business is crucial for us to prepare our team and the neighborhood to respond effectively to any disaster that may occur.
Your answers will help our NET understand your needs, your current preparation for a disaster, and your interest in working with our team to prepare for and respond to a disaster that may affect our neighborhood.

The project will complete a number of repairs to keep the bridge in service another 15-20 years. These include structural, mechanical, electrical and surface repairs. As a project stakeholder, we want to provide you an update on what can be expected during construction and answer any questions you might have.
Contractors will work on sections of the bridge in different phases. See attached map to understand when you might expect to see construction occur near you. We will provide regular updates to keep you aware of expected construc-tion timelines and potential impacts as we receive them.
Learn more about upcoming construction work on the Burnside Bridge and other downtown bridges including the Broadway and Morrison.

CITYWIDE 2017 SEWER REPAIR PROJECT
Night Work Proposed for NE Multnomah Street from NE 17th Ave. to NE 19th Ave.

Environmental Services is designing sewer repair projects in various neighborhoods across Portland to replace around 20,000 feet of sewer pipes that are in poor condition. The work will increase sewer system capacity, reduce basement backups, and protect water quality and the environment.
Environmental Service is proposing that the pipes that cross or extend into NE Multnomah Street from NE 17th Ave. to NE 19th Ave. be repaired at night between the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am. Due to the high volume of traffic, it is difficult to do the work during the typical work hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm. Night work would allow crews to work safely during less congested hours. Work will not take place on Sundays.
Environmental Servcies is applying for a noise variance to work outside of typical construction hours at NE Multnomah Street from 17th Ave. to NE 19th Ave. This work could take up to ten days.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin Spring 2017 and the entire project should be complete in Winter 2018. The work locations and a more detailed schedule will be communicated when the contractor us hired next year.
